RED (ROSE) VALLEY CAPPADOCIA

Red Valley hike is one of the best ones that a traveler might enjoy that can be hiked in different ways with its beautiful trails including Rose and Meskendir paths that each offers some different levels of hiking. Valley has both dovecotes and rock-cut churches with frescoes along its route. The sunset is just amazing in this valley.
This former Christian colony consists of a vast array of fairy chimneys hollowed-out and made habitable by the one-time cultivators of orchards and vineyards. Having always been and an important wine producing area, it is not surprising that an Uzumlu Kilise (Grape Church) should be located here with frescos, the principal theme of which is viniculture.
